Hideaway Kitchen at Lower Dunsforth
Food for Foodies
We hope that you will find the Hideaway Kitchen a relaxed and informal environment, where you can enjoy great quality, fresh food in stylish surroundings within easy reach from York & Harrogate. Hideaway Kitchen is a home from home, a rural restaurant, offering you coffee and cakes throughout the day, a delicious brunch, lunch or dinner or perhaps our traditional Sunday lunch!
We change our menu every three to four weeks in order that we can showcase the best of British and keep our offering diverse and exciting. We have a small menu with most dishes served as a small or a large portion. We have a wide range of innovative and tasty bar snacks and are more than happy to cater for specialist dietary requirements.
Our wines, spirits and beers follow our ethos of being top quality, select and with a sense of style. We have a large selection of premium gins and our wines are supplied by Corney & Barrow. Given our love of Spain and its culture we also serve some excellent Spanish lagers and beers.
We will be hosting events throughout the year and will post full details of these on the news section of our site. Stay tuned for cookery classes, gin tastings, ladies lunches, street food weekends and much more!
We look forward to welcoming you to the Hideaway Kitchen soon.
on the 30th January we have a bread making class from 10am-2pm. Learn to make flat breads, flavoured bread, rolls and more!
Thursday 21st sees another evening of Gin tasting at the hideaway from 7pm. Tickets are £25 per person including snacks. If you would like to book a ticket please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01423 320 700.

On Thursday’s we serve our menu along with a fantastic steak offer for two.

As a small independent, family-run business from time to time situations arise that are out of our control and may effect the opening hours of the restaurant. To avoid any inconvenience to you, our valued guests, we would always recommend booking before making the journey to us!
We have now reverted to Autumn/Winter opening hours. In order to strive for a better work/life balance this means we will be closed on Wednesday’s until Summer 2019.
